The Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre service delivers site-centred detailed mapping products. There is no stock investment, and nationwide databases enable the maps to be sold on demand. Operational requirements to provide the service are for a PC with Internet and ADSL connection and a laser printer.

Your own unique expertise and a commitment to provide some dedicated retail space on your premises for sales purposes. Provision of such hardware, software and communications links that meet a minimum specification to provide the Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre service.

Minimum equipment specification to receive Options is: PC: 256Mb-512Ram. 1.1Ghz+ Processor and CD Burner

Software: Windows 2000 Professional, XP Home or XP Professional, Java 1.4.1_02 (A free download), FTP Client (for example, FTP Explorer) and an email client capable of sending attachments.

Internet connection: ISDN (recommended ADSL/leased line)

Printer: A4/A3 Plotter: Only if there is a need to plot maps above A3 size (or we can offer a fulfilment service).
